What is the difference between synthetic HRT and bioidentical hormones?

Bioidentical hormones differ from synthetic hormones, in that they are made from plant-based estrogen and testosterone and are chemically identical to naturally produced hormones from the human body. Because of this, the body recognizes the hormone and instinctively know what to do with them. Reducing the need to convert the hormone into a usable form, which is what is needed with synthetic hormones, making them safer than synthetic hormones and producing fewer harmful side effects. BioTe's hormone optimization utilizes pellet therapy.

Why use hormone replacements?

The BioTE method of pellet therapy is a personalized bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) option available to men and women aged 25 and above. The aim is to restore and balance hormone levels to make improvements in a person’s quality of life. The treatment is personalized to your individual needs because one size does NOT fit all, especially when it comes to hormones.

What are the side effects of bioidentical hormones?

Potential side effects include acne, headache, spotting, and breast tenderness; however, these usually go away after the adaption phase.

Am I a good candidate for bioidentical hormones?

To determine whether you are a good candidate for bioidentical hormone optimization therapy, take the hormone health assessment. Following that we can schedule an in-person visit during which your history and symptoms will be discussed at length and a full blood panel will be ordered. After that, we will work together to form a hormone optimization therapy plan that best fits you and your needs.

How much does hormone pellet therapy cost?

The cost ranges between $400 and $750 per procedure, with optimization taking up to 6 months depending on individual customization. We have options to spread out the cost of the procedure either using Care Credit or participating in one of the available service packages.
